Mountain Biking & Gravel Rides
Using the Great Outdoors to Facilitate Great Conversation
From our base in the Tweed Valley (25 minutes south of Edinburgh) we take groups, teams and corporate clients mountain biking & gravel riding. At the heart of the Scottish mountain biking scene, with miles of world class trails, we can guarantee you’ll have a truly memorable experience!
Why Mountain Biking / Gravel Riding?
Side by side. Riding as equals. Conversations are different when you ride a bike. So whether it’s a fun team building day, a leadership away day, a client or networking ride, why not try something a little different to help facilitate conversation.
Experienced and Qualified Leaders
Led by a fully qualified British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader and experienced business leader, we’ll design a fantastic route to suit the level of experience of everyone, and ensure your objectives are met by facilitating great conversation.
Because every ride group is different we always tailor our ride experiences to your needs and to what you want to get out of the day.
Before the day we will have a call to ensure our plans match your expectations and to fully understand your objectives for the day
We host our ride experiences in the Tweed Valley. Other locations are possible, just ask!
Safety is our number one priority. Whilst we can’t eliminate every risk - this is mountain biking after all - we can mitigate the level of risk as far as reasonably practicable.
Subsequently, every group ride we undertake is risk assessed and planned with you in mind.
For safety reasons, all riders are required to wear a helmet, eye wear and protective gloves.
Trails Leadership supply all necessary equipment (although you can also bring your own bike to ride if preferred) and refreshments through the day.
All rides start with a warm welcome, refreshments, a pre-ride brief and a bike check.

We’ll gather at the meeting point for introductions and a warm welcome, a cuppa and a pre-ride briefing, kit and bike checks.
We’ll then set off on our ride, carrying any snacks and drinks for the day.
Throughout the ride we’ll have regular breaks, to share conversation and enjoy being outdoors in nature.
We’ll then return to our start point, inspired by the conversations we’ve enjoyed and the networks we’ve grown!
